Bumblebees were feasting in the property next door. Shot with a Nikkor Z 70-200mm + macro extension tubes at close range.

This cicada was photographed from 5 meters away using a Nikkor Z 180-600mm lens + TC2.0 + Macro extension tubes – so basically a macro shot at 1200mm focal length! Don’t be afraid to try different things with your camera gear that pushes boundaries of ‘the norm’. Forget rules. Do what you want and if it works for you, go for it.
